What is breathwork?
Rebirthing Breathwork is a powerful healing modality that uses conscious, connected breathing to connect with the innate wisdom of the body and access expanded states of consciousness.
Often in life, we encounter experiences that we may not be able to fully feel or process in the moment. As a result, emotions can become stored in the body, limiting our natural flow of energy and creativity.
Our habitual breathing patterns often bypass these emotional blockages, leading us to unconsciously avoid the feelings we once suppressed. This can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, and unfulfilled, or simply result in repetitive dysfunctional patterns of behavior.
In Rebirthing Breathwork, the breath guides the process, leading you to those places where re-connection and release are most needed. As you breathe, unresolved emotions and memories are can be met with the conscious breath and awareness, leading to profound insights and healing, as well as a deeper sense of alignment with who you truly are.
What to expect in Private Breathwork Session
Rebirthing Breathwork Sessions are suitable for both newcomers to breathwork and those with previous breathwork experience. Each session is a journey of self-discovery and healing, tailored to your individual needs and intentions, which we will discuss before the session starts.
During the session, you will practice the technique of conscious connected breath known as Rebirthing Breathwork. In our first session together, we'll start with a conversation, in order that I can have a deeper understanding of your background and needs. It will also include a detailed introduction, and explanation of the breathing technique.
The breathwork process itself is usually done lying down with the eyes closed. I will gently guide you into a pattern of connected breathing and conscious connection with your felt sense in your body, and then as the session progresses I will use a combination of spoken guidance, and selected music, to guide you through the session.
As you breathe in a deep, conscious and connected rhythm, your energy starts to circulate, guided by the inner wisdom of the body. This increased energy flow can release emotional, physical, and energetic blockages, creating space for profound healing, clarity and growth.
Typically the breathwork session itself will take about 90 minutes to complete, although this can vary depending on what arises and may be slightly shorter or longer depending on your needs.
Please note for beginners the first session can take up to 3hrs as it includes a complete introduction to the technique. Later sessions will typically take about 2 hours. All sessions include a short landing meditation before breathing, and an integration period after.
After the breathwork, we'll take time to reflect and integrate your experience, during this period you can share and discuss any reflections from your session (if you wish) .
In a one to one session, the presence of a facilitator provides a safe and supportive space for both your body and mind, enabling you to go deeper into the process. During in-person sessions, gentle touch may be offered to support and guide you, this is always with your consent and will be discussed prior to starting the session.
